Sid Miller, The Texas State Agricultural Commissioner and—surprise!--major campaign supporter of Donald Trump, decided to hop on Facebook this afternoon and join Trump and Kelley’s 96 Hours Of Lies Tour by posting what in his apparently too-easily-amused world is a purportedly comic image featuring Florida Rep. Frederica Wilson in a yellow outfit, and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren wearing a poorly Photoshopped native American feathered headdress. Next to that, Miller’s comment: “The troubling thing is that these are not even their Halloween costumes”
Oh. Oh! Please stop, Sid! The laughter hurts! My god, where does Miller come up with such insightful and astute observational humor? Carlin? Pryor? Please. Those guys are amateurs compared to Miller!
Of course, we don’t expect much more from Miller. After all, he’s the one who sent his sycophants into fits of laughter last November by referring to Hillary Clinton as a “cunt”. And he’s the one who joked two years ago that the US should handle the terrorism problem by nuking the Middle East, part of a real knee-slapper that Miller praised as “thought provoking”.
And it’s not just the world of high comedy where Miller has left his mark. Oh no. There’s the time a few months after taking office that Miller reversed a state ban on soft drinks and fried foods in public schools, citing “freedom” to teach the kids bad eating habits that are guaranteed to send them to an early grave. And the time in 2011 when he authored House Bill 15, a measure requiring women to undergo sonograms prior to undergoing abortions. And the time he shifted stocks from his campaign account to pay off personal loans. And the time he went to Oklahoma for a medical procedure and stuck Texas taxpayers with the bill. And the time he…
Oh, hell.
